SOUTH BEND - Lucille Ann Sieracki, born to Frances (Kuczwara) and Harry J. Tomaszewski on September 21, 1930, in South Bend, Indiana, passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2007 (Feast of St. Lucy). She was 77 years old. "Lu" was preceded in death by her mother, who passed when Lou was only three-months-old. Her father remarried to Kathryn (Paczesny) Tomaszewski, who also preceded her in death as did her father, sister, Irene (Tomaszewski) DeBeck of Westville, Indiana and brother, Raymond J. Tomaszewski of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Lu married Thaddeus "Ted" Sieracki on May 14, 1949, who preceded her in death on January 10, 1979. They were the proud parents of three sons, Dennis (Darci Trump) of Indianapolis, Timothy (Kris Klawitter) of Elkhart, Indiana, and Thaddeus Jr. "Rocky" (Carrie Workman) of South Bend; and the grandparents of eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Lucille was a member and past president of the St. Adalbert Rosary Society, she was also a member of the St. Adalbert Sister's as well as St. Adalbert Harvest House. Additionally, Lucille was a member of the Polish Business Women's Association, and Eucharistic Minister at St. Matthew's Parish in South Bend. Lu was part owner of Evergreen Florists for 44 years. Later in life, she enjoyed baking at the Progressive Bakery for over ten years as well as talking with customers at Meijer's for several years. Lu was well known for her talent as a seamstress and hat-maker, and she will be remembered proudly for her crochet and knitting ability, having warmed body parts with blankets, booties, scarves, and slippers, too many to count. But she will be most fondly remembered for the hearts that she warmed...also too many to count.

Visitation will be held at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana on Sunday, December 16, from 2 to 8 PM, where a Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, 331 S.
