Virginia A. Signorino

MISHAWAKA - Virginia A. ''Ginny'' Signorino, 51, of Vistula Road, died about 10:20 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital after a minivan she was driving went off the southbound lanes of the Capital Avenue bridge and fell into an abandoned water-filled quarry. Dr. James E. McMeel, county coroner, ruled the death a suicide. Mrs. Signorino was employed as a medical assistant for Dr. Tae Gee Kiehm for nine years. She was born July 14, 1943, in Mishawaka.

 

On Sept. 2, 1967, in Mishawaka, as Virginia A. Ganser, she married Gary L. Signorino. He survives with a daughter, Jessica L. at home; a son, Rosario H. at home; three sisters, Betty L. Toothman of Phoenix, Ariz., Mary Kay Grossman of Peoria, Ariz., and Barbara J. Harper of Snowflake, Ariz.; and two brothers, James O. Ganser of Mishawaka and Patrick V. Ganser of Phoenix.

 

She was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church and Selection Service Review Board.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Hahn Funeral Home, where a wake will be at 3:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Aaron Leyes Trust Fund, Mishawaka Federal Savings or any charity.
