SOUTH BEND - Margaret Simpkins, 84,
passed away on Saturday, November 1 in her home. On October 19,
1924 in South Bend she was born to Ell Jay and Maude Rosella (Rush)
Carpenter. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents
and 12 brothers and sisters. She is survived by three daughters
Debra Sue (Larry) Szul of Osceola, Gayla Jean Northam
and Tina Susan Ritter both of South Bend; five
grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a sister Barbara Kuxhousen
of Sun City, FL. Margaret worked in Dietary Services at St.
Joseph Medical Center. She was a loving mother, grandmother and
sister. Margaret will truly be missed.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, November 5 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, from 1 to 3 p.m. where funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. with Rev Ben Norton officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
