Duff A. Sinclair

SOUTH BEND - Duff Alan Sinclair, 46, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at The Center for Hospice in South Bend following a battle with lung cancer. He was born April 18, 1963 in South Bend, and was most recently employed by W. J. Hagerty & Sons. Duff enjoyed spending time with his family and watching classic films. He was a great cook and was famous for his baked ham. Duff also had a passion for home repairs and spent many hours working on his older home in the downtown area. He will be fondly remembered for his ability to walk into a room and quickly become the life of the party due to his true energy and ability to bring out the best in others. Duff's smile, wit and laughter will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his two daughters, Ruth Sinclair and April Sinclair; his ex-wife, Katrina Downhour; his stepdaughter, Rachel Downhour; his brothers and sisters, Mark Sinclair, Kirk Sinclair, Scott Sinclair, Sarla Nichols (and Jimmie Lewis), and Carrie (and Kevin) Ryan. Duff was also survived by nieces and nephews who loved him very much including Crystal (and Tim) Ryan-Shaw, Trevor Sinclair, Nicholas Sinclair, Erin Sinclair, Katie (and Greg) Cook, and Jordan Nichols. Duff was preceded in death by his parents: Ruth Elaine (Elmore) Sinclair and Percy Carleton Sinclair III. Memorial services will be at Hanley & Sons Funeral Home, 23421 St Rd 23, South Bend, on Saturday, April 3, at 1:00 PM.
