Adeline C. Sinka (March 14, 1917 - March 24, 2000)

Adeline C. Sinka, 83, of Healthwin Specialized Care Facility in South Bend, Ind., (formerly of Holmes Road in South Bend) passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24, in the Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

She was born on March 14, 1917 to the late Peter and Stella (Kolanowski) Bronski in South Bend, and had remained a lifelong resident.

Mrs. Sinka retired in 1971 from the former Uniroyal Corporation in Mishawaka, Ind.

 On Jan. 18, 1936, as Adeline C. Bronski, she married Paul M. Sinka in St. Patrick Catholic Church, South Bend. He passed away on Oct. 16, 1999. A sister, Geraldine Stachowiak, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Raymond) Branchick of Mishawaka; a son, Paul P. Sinka of South Bend; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Loretta Gudates of Mishawaka; Irene Kurek, Eleanor Szymanski, Mildred Kwiecinski and Marlene Knefley, all of South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home with Rev. Charles J. Lavely, C.S.C. officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 27, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.
