Juanita Siri

MISHAWAKA -- Juanita ''Nita'' Siri (nee Wilson), 69, passed away after a brief illness, with complications from Parkinson's disease, at 1:15 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, at the Regency Place Rehabilitation and Health Center, South Bend, Ind. She was born on Sept. 22, 1928, in Springfield, Ill., as the daughter of Homer and Victoria (Wasceiski) Wilson, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Victor (Lenore) Siri of Knoxville, Tenn.; and by a grandson, Nic Siri.

Nita came to the South Bend-Mishawaka area in 1941.

 

In 1947, as Juanita Wilson, she married Louis Siri. She is survived by two daughters, Debra (John) Johannes of Brookfield, Wis., and Sylvia (Larry) Leek of Warsaw, Ind.; a son, Linden (Sophia Dziegielewski) Siri of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Terri Wiley of Florence, Ala., Constance Wilson and Cecelia Schmucker, both of Mishawaka, Ind.; and by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, with funeral services being held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, Rev. Erv. Mize officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
