Julius Joseph Siri II

SOUTH BEND - Julius Joseph Siri II, 77, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2006, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Julius was born on April 26, 1929, in Mishawaka, to Joseph Julius and Sabina (Cerri) Siri.

 

He is survived by a daughter, Julie Siri of Corona, Calif.; three sons, Joseph Siri of Mishawaka, Larry (Wendy) Siri of Corona, Calif., and Rick (Colleen) Siri of Osceola; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, George (Betty) Siri of Ocala, Florida, and William (Rosalie) Siri of Osceola; a sister, Angela (Jim) Trippel of Mishawaka. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Cathy Tirotta, who died on February 13, 2006; a brother, Louis Siri; his parents, Joseph J. and Sabina (Cerri) Siri; and his stepmother, Rosa Siri.

 

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2006, in Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home, Osceola Chapel, 1109 Lincoln Way West, Osceola, IN, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The Elkhart DAV, Chapter #19, will render military rites immediately following the service. Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services in Elkhart.

 

Julius was formerly employed as an instrument tester at C.G. Conn, the Selmer Company, and the Vincent Bach Company in Elkhart. He was a member and past president to the Musician Union, Local #278 in South Bend. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Dee & Mickys Club and the BK Club in Mishawaka. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and white-water rafting. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

The family would like to extend a special tanks to Inez, Sandy, his caregiver, Connie, Uncle Bill and The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care. Elkhart Cremation Services, 2100 W. Franklin Street, Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
