Jan. 16, 1916 – Feb. 18, 1997 SOUTH BEND – Harry W. Skarupinski, 81, of South Brookfield Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, in his home. Mr. Skarupinski was born Jan. 16, 1916, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He had been employed by the former Studebaker Corporation. He was married Oct. 25, 1943, in South Bend, to Stella Jurgonski, who preceded him in death on April 22, 1991. Mr. Skarupinski is survived by two sisters, Jean Soos of South Bend and Esther Mucha of Wisconsin. He was a member of St. Joseph Young Men’s Society; the Senior Citizens Club of St. Casimir Church; Z.B. Falcons Nest 80; and the American Legion Pulaski Post 357. Mr. Skarupinski was a veteran of World War II. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 2:30 p.m. by the Senior Citizens Club of St. Casimir Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery.
