Stanley Slake: (South Bend Tribune 3/26/1981)

Stanley Slake, 72, of Linton, Ind., formerly of South Bend, died early today at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Indianapolis, after a three-week illness. He was a former employee of Drewry’s Ltd. in South Bend. Born on March 9, 1909, in South Bend, he had lived in South Bend most of his life. In 1946, in South Bend, he married Pauline Scott, who survives. Also surviving are a son Vernon of Indianapolis; a grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Roytek and Mrs. Tillie Horka, both of South Bend. Services and burial will be in Linton. He was a World War II veteran.
