Mrs. Genevieve Slessman

November 14, 1900 – September 29, 1979

Mrs. Genevieve Papczynski Slessman, 78, died at 2:30am today in the River Park Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

She was born on November 14, 1900, in South Bend, and lived here her lifetime.  On March 30, 1950, in Elkhart, she married Mike Slessman.  He died in 1971.  Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Fischer, Mrs. Henrietta Bella, Mrs. Dolores Wroblewski and Mrs. Arlene Stetler, all of South Bend and Mrs. Hilda Grzeskowiak of Mishawaka; a son, Alex Papczynski of Lakeville; 29 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 9am Monday in the St Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.  Rev. James Wolf, the associate pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Sunday in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Sunday.

Services for Mrs. Genevieve Papczynski Slessman, 78, who died Saturday, will be at 9am Monday in St Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.  Rev. James Wolf, associate pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm today in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30pm.
