Sylvia Stroup Slomski

Sylvia Stroup Slomski, 67, of Geary Court, South Bend, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, March 18, in Healthwin Specialized Care Center, South Bend.

She was born on December 13, 1938, in South Bend to the late Virgia Ruth (Chivington) and Glenn W. Stroup. Sylvia is survived by a sister, Marilyn (Arthur) Nowicki of Mishawaka, Indiana.

She was a retired private secretary. She was a member of Lydick United Methodist Church and was an active member of the American Contract Bridge League in South Bend.

Services for Sylvia will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where friends may call two hours prior to services. Rev. Jennifer Johns-Gooding pastor of Lydick United Methodist Church will conduct the services. The funeral service will conclude at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend.
