Mandy Jo Smith, 18, of West Jefferson in Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 8:44 on Sunday, May 10, at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Ind. She was born on May 28, 1979, in South Bend, Ind., to Timothy Wayne and Tina Marie (Addison) Smith. She was preceded in death by her father on July 15, 1996.

Mandy leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Tina Dieffenderfer of Mishawaka; three brothers, Randy Dieffenderfer and Sterling Dieffenderfer, both of Mishawaka, and Brandon Smith of Osceola, Ind.; a sister, Brittany Smith of Osceola, and a stepsister, Jennifer Weber of Mishawaka; Grandparents Connie Smith-Day of Mishawaka, Charles Smith, Sr. of South Bend, and Thomas and Jan Addison of Mishawaka; and by her fiance, Jeremy Monges of Mishawaka.

Mandy was employed at Value City Department Store as a cashier. She attended California Road Missionary Church in Elkhart. She attended Mishawaka High School.

Friends may call at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on today.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday with Pastor Mark Delaney officiating. Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
