Clement J. Sniadecki

SOUTH BEND - Clement J. Sniadecki, 86, passed away at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 19, in his residence. Clement was born on May 23, 1922 in South Bend to the late Walter and Blanche (Kruszka) Sniadecki.

 

On October 29, 1942, he married Evelyn H. Andrzejewski in South Bend, she preceded him in death on February 10, 1981. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Sniadecki; four brothers, Frank Sniadecki, Alfred Sniadecki, Edward Sniadecki and Bert Sniadecki; and by three sisters, Irene Dulcet, Helen Zielinski, and Virginia Selig. He is survived by three sons, Clement W. (Bonnie) Sniadecki of Angola, IN, Alan F. Sniadecki of Carrollton, TX and Dennis A. Sniadecki of South Bend; daughter, Donna M. (Patrick) O'Hara of South Bend; eight grandchildren, Amy, Heather, and Matthew Sniadecki, Samantha, Sarah, Patrick, and Sean O'Hara, and Kimberly Toyias; three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla and Kyle Toyias; and a great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Toyias; his sister, Carrie Lapczynski of South Bend; two sister-in-laws, Regina and Blanche Sniadecki; and his fiancée and beloved care giver, Delphine Ladewski. Clemet retired from the South Bend Tribune after 35 years. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 357, St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church and was a Studebaker Union Division Representative elected three times.

 

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2008 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend where a Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 23 in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross/St. Stanislaus Renaissance Campaign.
