Frank Joseph Sniadecki

Frank Joseph Sniadecki, 79, of Ardmore Trail, South Bend, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, in Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1924, in South Bend, to Walter and Blanche (Kruska) Sniadecki, who preceded him in death along with a brother, Bert Sniadecki; two sisters, Helen Zielinski and Irene Dulcet; grandson, Danny McDonnell; and a son-in-law, Kenny Powell Sr.

 

On June 7, 1947, in South Bend, he married Blanche Przybylski, who survives him. Frank is also survived by his wife, Blanche; two daughters, Carol (Robert) McDonnell of Granger and Judy Powell of Osceola; two sons, Frank Jr. (Charollette) Sniadecki of North Liberty and Thomas (Jeanie) Sniadecki of South Bend; nine grandchildren, Robert McDonnell, Colleen Sager, Cindy Sniadecki, Laura Sniadecki, Kenny Powell Jr., Joey Powell, Tony Powell, Sandy Powell and Tim Powell; two step-grandchildren, John Murane and Linda Murane; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Mallory, Chase and Bridget; two sisters, Carrie Lapczynski and Virginia Selig, all of South Bend; three brothers, Ed Sniadecki, Clem Sniadecki and Alfred Sniadecki, all of South Bend. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Church, VFW 284 and the American Legion #357. He served in the 69th Division Army and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Medal.

 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 2 to 8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
