Dwight A. Snyder Jr.

Oct. 13, 1923 - May 3, 2006

South Bend Tribune 5/6/2006

Dwight A. Snyder Jr, 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep in his home in Desert Hot Springs, California. He was a resident of Mishawaka for 75 years. Preceding him in death were his parents, Freda Maggart and Dwight A. Snyder Sr, and his brother, Donald B. Snyder.

In 1950, he married Lillian Neyrinck, who died in 1961. Survivors include his daughter, Muriel (Thomas) Barkley; his brother, Kenneth Krusensterna and his wife of 44 years, Virginia (Sheets) Snyder.

Dwight was a veteran of World War II. He owned the Snyder Oil company in Mishawaka for many years delivering heating oil to his customers without fail in all kinds of weather. He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, and was a long time antique dealer with his wife Virginia. He was a member of Club 15, and missed the companionship of his friends after he moved to California.

There will be no visitation. Rose Mortuary is handling arrangements in California. In lieu of flowers or donations, please think of time that you spent with my dad fondly. He was my father, my friend, and I loved him very much.
