MISHAWAKA - Ethel J. Snyder, 55, of 815 W. Douglas Road, died at 8:10 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, after an illness. Mrs. Snyder worked at AM General for several years. She was born Aug. 8, 1939, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.
On July 16, 1976, in Mishawaka, as Ethel J. Goodsell, she married Phillip J. Snyder. He survives with three daughters, Catherine A. Lello of Osceola, Bobbie Jo Dash of South Bend and Brenda L. O'Neil of Clermont, Fla.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Delores Hale and Sandra Hale, both of South Bend, and Chloa Johnson of Three Rivers; and three brothers, Harvey and Jack Goodsell of South Bend and Edmond Goodsell of Union City, Tenn.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place, with burial in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements.
