Charles Somogyi

November 23, 1916July 13, 1969

 

Charles Somogyi, 52, of 905 Lincolnway West, died at 2pm Sunday in his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was a cabinet maker for Hickey Construction Co.

 

He was born on November 23, 1916, in South Bend and lived here all of his life.  On May 25, 1941, in South Bend, he married Alice Holtz.  She survives, along with his parents, Charles Somogyi Sr. and Mrs. Helen Horvath of South Bend; a son, Charles Somogyi Jr. of South Bend, a grandchild and a brother Frank Mihocza of South Bend; four sisters, Mrs. Andrew Nagy, Mrs. Harry Coddington, Mrs. Jerome Zieger, and Mrs. Robert Demien, all of South Bend

 

Friends may call after 7pm, today and all day Tuesday in Nemeth Funeral Home.  Services will be at 9am Wednesday with Rev. Stephen Kalabany, pastor of Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Mr. Somogyi was a member of the South Bend Moose Lodge 58, the Hungarian Democratic Club, and the South Bend Building & Construction Trades Union, AFL-CIO
