Mrs. Ben (Bernice) Sopczynski

July 29, 1918September 20, 1979

 

Bernice A. Sopczynski, 61, of 2403 Westmoor, died at 9:10am today in St Joseph’s Hospital.  She was a clerk-typist at the University of Notre Dame ticket office for nine years.

 

She was born on July 29, 1918, in South Bend, and had lived here all her life.  On November 24, 1940, in South Bend, she married Ben C. Sopczynski, who survives.  Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Gruszynski, Mrs. Mary Adams and Miss Christine Sopczynski, all of South Bend; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Pajakowski and Mrs. Sabina Paczkowski, both of South Bend; and a brother, Roman Radecki of South Bend.

 

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SOPCZYNSKI – Services for Mrs. Bernice A. Sopczynski, 61, of 2403 Westmoor, who died Wednesday in St Joseph’s Hospital, will be at 9am Saturday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church.  Rev. Stephen Sedlock, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and from 3 to 9pm Friday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary with be recited at 7pm today.
