Fred J. Sosnoski: (South Bend Tribune 9/1/1990)


Dec. 5, 1925 – Aug. 30, 1990 SOUTH BEND – Fred J. Sosnoski, 64, of 34th Street died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Sosnoski was a salesman for Valley Equipment Co. and formerly an employee of Elkhart Supply. He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Oct. 5, 1946, in South Bend, he married Betty J. Lanchsweerdt, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Dianne L. Williams of Southlake, Texas; three sons, Fred J. Jr. of Chicago, Daniel L. of Niles and Timothy M. of Osceola; seven grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Miller of Kankakee, Ill.; and a brother, Francis of Mishawaka. He was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, BK Club, Mishawaka and Elkhart Moose Lodge. He was veteran of World War II. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Hickey Funeral Home., 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Heart Association.
