SOUTH BEND - Nicholas Daniel South,
25, of 1529 Wilbur St., formerly of Walkerton, died at 3:25 a.m.
Sunday in Koontz Lake, Starke County, after being struck by a car
while walking on County Road 1100 East. Mr. South was born Nov.
11, 1968, in South Bend, and lived in South Bend for a year,
coming from Walkerton. He is survived by his parents, Dominic D. Vendola
of Georgia and Deanna M. Bierly of South Bend; two
sisters, Terri Briggs of South Bend and Rebecca Bierly of
Crumstown; and a brother, Dan of San Antonio, Texas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in
Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton. Burial will be in Woodlawn
Cemetery, Walkerton. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday
in the funeral home.
