Giovanini Spalazzi

Giovanini Spalazzi, 73, of 202 W. 11th St., died at 10 a.m. Monday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Hines, Ill.  He had been ill about a month.  Mr. Spalazzi was born in Italy and came to this country in 1913.  He married Blandina Ferrettie in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church.  She died in 1933.  He was employed by the Moraschi & Ferrettie grocery.  Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews here and two brothers, Albert and Lewis Spalazzi, in Italy.  He was a veteran of World War I.  The body will be brought to the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Chapel.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

Funeral services for John Spalazzi, 73, of 202 W. 11th St., who died Monday in the Veterans Hospital, Hines Ill., will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Church.  Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home where friends may call.  Pallbearers will be Louis Minotti, Henry and Nelo Ferrettie, Victor Vernasco, Aurelo Luccki and Edward Madou.
