Parker J. Spindler

Feb. 16, 1937 - May 27, 1999

A memorial service for Parker Jerome ''Jerry'' Spindler, 62, will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, at Clay United Methodist Church, 17646 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Ind. He died in Florida on May 27, 1999.

Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Cancer Research Funds, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10021.

Jerry was born in Chicago, Ill., on Feb. 16, 1937. He grew up and graduated from high school in Plymouth, Ind., and from Indiana University. He was employed as a marketing representative for IBM in South Bend for 27 years, was transferred to Chicago and then to Tampa, Fla. IVANS of Tampa had most recently employed him.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Jo (Holston), formerly of Michigan City, Ind., now of Seminole, Fla.; a daughter, Bonnie K. of San Francisco, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Roberto Benabib of New York City; his mother, Amy Elizabeth Spindler of Seminole; and by a sister, Carole Jones of Dover, Del.
