Lydia A. Stackman

Mrs. Lydia A. Stackman, aged 75, of 625 Lincoln Way East, died at 8 o'clock this morning in her residence. She was born near Burkett, Ind., March 8, 1859, and spent most of her life here.

 

She was married in Niles, Mich., in 1882, to William J. Stackman, who died last Aug. 28. She leaves two sons, Harvey A. Stackman, of South Bend, and Cecil Stackman, of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Alwine, of South Bend; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mary E. McDonald, of Grand Rapids, Mich.

The funeral will take place from the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. Elmer Ward Cole, D. D., pastor of First Christian church, will officiate and interment will be in city cemetery.
