Johnnie Lane Stanley, 46, of South
Chapin Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 9:30 a.m. on
April 2, at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 30,
1950, in Rocky Point, N.C., to the union of Annie Mae (Vereene)
and Rev. John William Stanley, who both preceded him in death.
Mr. Stanley was a former member of Mount
Moriah Methodist Church in Rocky Point, N.C.
Mr. Stanley leaves to cherish his memories
two stepdaughters, Dartisha Price and Florence Swanson,
both of South Bend; five sisters, Sara Dickerson of
Vineland, N.J., Estelle Noonan of Sayetteville, N.C.,
Evangelist Mary Williams of Cheriton, Va., Gloria Brizant
of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Edna Moore of Manhattan, N.Y.; a
brother, Herbert Stanley of Philadelphia, Pa.; his fiancee,
Marsha Settles of South Bend; a step-granddaughter, Chenao
Robertson of South Bend; a step-grandson, Elmer Price, IV;
and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Thursday at Cliffdale Church of God in Sayetteville, N.C.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Alford's
Mortuary.
