SOUTH BEND - Ronald Stastny, 63, of South 36th Street,
South Bend, formerly of Brookfield, IL, died Sunday evening in
Regency Place Nursing Home, South Bend. Ron had retired from the
U.S. Postal Service as a separator at the main post office
downtown South Bend for 35 years. He was born September 17, 1944,
in Chicago, to Joseph and Mary (Bartik) Stastny, who
preceded him in death.
Surviving are a nephew, Tim (Michele) Rauworth
of West Chicago; niece, Mariane (John) Miulli of Lombard,
IL; great-nephews, James, Jake and Sam; cousin, George Bartik;
and a sister-in-law, Mary Stastny of West Chicago.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 31, in Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood, South Bend. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until services Thursday in Little Flower Church. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. (Chicago time) Monday, Feb. 4, in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. The HICKEY Funeral Homes, 3516 E. Jefferson, South Bend, IN, 574/289-1000, is in charge of arrangements.
