Pearl M. Stawnik, 78, of Oakside Street, South Bend IN, passed away at 3:40pm Sunday, March 23, in Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Stawnik retired in 1968 from Uniroyal.  She was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church and Chapter 6 of the D.A.V.

 

Pearl was born on Mach 29, 1924, in South Bend, to Francis and Frances Wruble.  On August 25, 1945, in South Bend, as Pearl Wruble, she married Stanley J. Stawnik.  He died on June 24, 1977.  Pearl was also preceded in death by her parents, and by three brothers, Marion Wruble, Thomas Wruble and Edward Wruble.

 

She is survived by three daughters, Dian Huffine of Mishawaka IN, and Marsh (James) Sellers and Victoria (Francis) Lolmaugh, both of South Bend; a granddaughter, Angelique Lolmaugh, and her fiancé, Larry King; four sisters, Angela (Richard) Campoli and Jean (Frank) Bojtor, both of South Bend, Florence (Robert) Martin of Griffin IN, and Rose (Ernest) Bennett of Mishawaka IN; her twin brother, Stanley (Irene) Wruble of South Bend, and her brother, Harry (Irene) Wruble of Edwardsburg MI.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Thursday, March 27, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church.  Entombment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.  Family and friends may call from 4 to 8pm today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 6pm.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
