Charles Thurston Stedman

January 28, 1903October 15, 1985

 

Charles Thurston Stedman, 82, of Bradenton FL, formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday morning in Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, after an illness.

 

Mr. Stedman was born January 28, 1903, in Miami IN, and moved to Bradenton in 1967 from South Bend.  He is survived by daughter, Monelle Riley of Bradenton; a son, William T. of Bradenton; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Katherin Conn of Walton IN.

 

Mr. Stedman was a businessman in South Bend since 1923. He was the founder of Rainbow Flying Service, South Bend, and president of Charles Stedman Co. Estate Planning & Group Insurance, Bradenton.

 

Memorial services were scheduled at 3:30pm today in Bayshore Funeral Home, Bradenton.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial contributions may be made to Happiness House Rehabilitation Center, 401 Braden Avenue, Sarasota FL 33580.

 

Mr. Stedman was a member of Rotary International, and a 50 year member of South Bend Masonic Lodge 294, F & AM.
