John E. Steel, 76, of 16187 Chatman Drive, Strongsville, Ohio, formerly of South Bend, Ind., died on Monday, June 21, in Southwest General Hospital, Middleburg Heights, Ohio. John was born on Dec. 3, 1922, in Ontario, Canada.
He married Joyce A. Beckner, who preceded him in death. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Marie Steel of Parma, Ohio.
Prayer services will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. today, June 25, in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Parma. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland Ohio.
Friends were received on Thursday in the Mallchok Funeral Home, Parma. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the UCLA Lung Research Center in California.
