SOUTH BEND - Services for Julius Steenbeke, 95, of Warren Street, who died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Mr. Steenbeke retired in 1963, after 28 years with Torrington Corp. He was born Nov. 25, 1898 in Aalter, Belgium, and lived in this area since 1920, coming from Aalter. On July 28, 1928, in South Bend, he married Marie Louise DeFreeuw. She survives, with two daughters, Louise Rucano of South Bend and Donna Marie Reimer of Fishers, Ind.; three sons, David, Allen, and Mark, all of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Florimon and Adolph, both of Aalter. He was a member of the church and Torrington Retirees Club.
