Margaret Ann Steinhofer (May 18, 1936 - Sept. 17, 1998)

Margaret Ann (Vandall) Frame Steinhofer, 62, of 10605 E. 900 North, Walkerton, Ind., passed away at 2:25 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, in the St. Joseph's Medical Center at South Bend, Ind.

Mrs. Steinhofer was born on May 18, 1936, at Meadow Bridge, W.Va., to Clervan H. Vandall and Nora E. (Zickafoose) Vandall.

On Feb. 3, 1956, at Forestville, Md., she married David Boyd Frame. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1983. She was later married to Frank Steinhofer on Dec. 30, 1990, at Walkerton. He survives.

She is also survived by two daughters, Sherry L. (Jeffrey) White of Walkerton and Lori A. (Paul) Baumgarten of Indianapolis, Ind.; a step-daughter, Dawn (Jeff) Taghon of Mishawaka, Ind.; two sons, Robert D. (Tami) Frame of LaPorte, Ind. and Mark A. (Tamara) Frame of Walkerton; a stepson, Frank ''Butch'' (Lisa) Steinhofer of South Bend; 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey Lindsley, Joyce Lindsley, Michael White, Jennifer Frame, Hollie Frame, Lee Newton, Zachary Frame, Emmett Baumgarten, Michael Steinhofer and Lauren Steinhofer; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, her twin, Mary ''Peg'' Knapp of Vidalia, La., Glenna O'Connor of Athens, Ohio, Gladys Walker of Fort Myers, Fla. and Grace Adkins of Walkerton; and by three brothers, Charles Vandall, C.H. ''Sonny'' Vandall, both of Walkerton, and Robert Vandall of Meadow Bridge, W.Va.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Harris.

Mrs. Steinhofer was a member of the Walkerton First Baptist Church. She had retired after 22 years from the John Glenn School Corporation as a cook.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Walkerton First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Walkerton.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Nusbaum-Elkin funeral Home at Walkerton.

Memorials may be given to the Walkerton First Baptist Church or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
