Annas Geneva Stewart, 89, of North Washington Street in Wakarusa, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home on May 27, 2006, of natural causes.

Geneva was born January 3, 1917, to Rubin A. and Sophia (Lindley) Wilson in Tuckerman, Arkansas.

 

On November 3, 1934, she married Ferman Stewart in Arkansas. Ferman preceded her in death, passing away in 1999. Surviving is her daughter, Kathy (Robert) Zeiger of Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Michael Zeiger, Daniel Zeiger and Katherine Zeiger, all of Mishawaka; two brothers, Joe Wilson and Sammie Wilson, both of Arkansas; and a sister, Shelby Jean Kistner of Michigan. Also surviving are her half-brothers, R.A. Wilson Jr. of Arkansas, Jessie R. Wilson of Michigan; and a half-sister, Wanda Lauderbaugh of Oregon. Preceding Geneva in death was a daughter, Wanda Stewart; two sons, and her brothers, Nathan, Woodrow, Johnny and Leonard Wilson; and sisters, Ruth VanWinkle and Willie Mae Hunter.

 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, May 30, 2006, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

 

Mrs. Stewart was employed by PHM Schools as a cook, retiring in the early 1980's. She was a member of the Osceola Grace Brethren Church in Osceola. Memorial contributions in her name may be given to the Osceola Grace Brethren Church.
