NOTE: The info in my Father's Obit is correct, except his name is Millard David Stokes, not "Willard" Please Change.  I am his son Dewayne Stokes, who at the time of his death lived in Mishawaka IN.  Also, my Mother, Rovellia Margaret Stokes passed away in March 2001. Feb. 6, 1920 - March 5, 1998

Millard D. Stokes, 78, of Lake Station, Ind., passed away on Thursday, March 5, at his home.

He was born on Feb. 6, 1920, in Campbell, Mo., to the late William and Nora (Nix) Stokes.

He had been an area resident the last 45 years, was retired from Bethlehem Steel and Taylor Forge, and was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rovellia (nee Hounihan); three sons, Dewayne Stokes of Mishawaka, Ind., David and Darrell Stokes, both of Portage, Ind.; two daughters, Patricia (Tom) Hamblin of Bowling Green, Ky., and Deborah (Joe) Stanley of Portage; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson; two brothers, William Dean Stokes of Modesto, Calif., and Namon (Mary) Stokes of Bristow, Okla.; and by a sister, Imogene (Curn) Burns of Modesto, Calif.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3881 Central Avenue, Lake Station, with Rev. Bill Barrow officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, Lake Station. (219) 962-1606.
