Richard W. Stone Sr.

SOUTH BEND - Richard William Stone Sr., 76, of Juday Lake Drive, died at 8:15 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Stone retired in 1984 as co-owner and president of Inland Distributing Corp. He was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Granger. On Nov. 9, 1941, in Mishawaka, he married Glorianna Willett. She survives with a daughter, Pamela S. Sieg of South Bend; two sons, Richard W. Jr. of Vandalia and Gregory R. of Granger; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanne Click of Niles and Joan Mann of Elkhart; and two brothers, Robert D. and James E., both of Elkhart. He was a member of Clay United Methodist Church, Edwardsburg Masonic Lodge 106, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, York Rite, Orak Temple, Four Lakes Country Club, Edwardsburg, South Bend Shrine Club, University Club, Morris Park Country Club, and St. Joseph County Hospital Authority.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Cremation will take place, with burial in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
