SOUTH BEND - Ernest A. Stout, 85, of
Parliament Drive, died at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday in Michiana
Community Hospital. Mr. Stout formerly was employed with
Studebaker Corp. and was a self-employed painter for many years.
He was born April 9, 1908, in Hymera, Ind., moving to South Bend
in 1928, coming from Hymera.
On Dec. 31, 1932, in Warsaw, he married Ruth
V. McGraw. She survives with a daughter, Pamela M. Darrow
of Granger; two sons, Richard L. of Elkhart and Raymond L. of
South Bend; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Huffman
of Delray Beach, Fla. He was a member of Calvary Temple.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday
in the Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road. Burial will be
in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions
may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Northern Indiana.
