Arthur Earl Stover Sr.

September 18, 1879June 20, 1962

 

Arthur Earl Stover Sr., 730 W Washington Avenue, died at7pm Wednesday in his home, after an illness of 16 months.

 

Born September 18, 1879, in Berrien Springs, he came here in 1927.  On December 9, 1909, he married the former Irene Long, who survives.  In 1949 he retired from the Northern Indiana Transit Co after 42 years of service.

 

He is survived also by two sons, Arthur Earl Stover Jr, of Mishawaka, and William R. Stover, South bend; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. William Trockenbrod, of Elkhart ad Mrs. Gertrude Morey of Portland OR.

 

Friends may call after 4pm today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home.  Private funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Friday in the funeral home, with Rev. Walter D. Oberholtzer, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
