Ruth A. Stover

SOUTH BEND - Ruth A. Stover, 76, of Greensprings Manor, formerly of St. Joseph's Tower, died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday in the nursing home. Mrs. Stover was a former employee of Ball Band, Mishawaka, and Wilson Brothers. She was born April 11, 1918, in Poseyville, Ind., and lived in South Bend most of her life.

 

On Jan. 13, 1937, in Chicago, as Ruth A. Murphy, she married Junia H. Walker. He preceded in death. On April 10, 1954, in South Bend, she married Levi P. Stover. He also preceded in death. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara June Cassler of South Bend; two sons, Robert E. Walker of Granger and Thomas A. Walker of Sebring, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Zinsmaster of Centreville.

 

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
