Royal L. Strombeck, 86, who lived at South 33rd Street, South Bend,, Ind., died at 7:45 p.m., Monday, Feb., 24. Royal was born in Elkhart, Ind., on July 9, 1910, to Maude and Earl Strombeck. His parents both preceded him in death.
Royal married Beulah L. Clalifoux in Nashua, N.H., on Oct 17, 1936. She survives with three daughters, Marilyn Bollenbacher of Bay Port, Mich., Shirley Strombeck of Lowell, Mass., and Sharon Bragg of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Howard Strombeck of California and Paul Strombeck of Mishawaka, Ind.
There will be a memorial service held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Gaughan officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Tweksbury, Mass. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice House, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend. Arrangements were handled by Bubb Funeral Chapel North.
