Otto H. W. Stromberg

July 27, 1904June 24, 1984

 

Otto H. W. Stromberg, 79, of 1134 N. Kaley, died at 12:42pm Sunday in St Joseph’s Medical Center.  He formerly was employed in The Tribune’s composing room, working there for 32 years, and also was a printer for McClave’s Printing, Bailey Printing Co and L.P. Hardy Printing Co.

 

He was born July 27, 1904, in Lydick, and lived in the South Bend area most of his life.  In January 1939, in East Moline IL, he married Margaret Beelaert.  She survives with a son, Eugene Stromberg of Clio SC; and four grandchildren.

 

There will be no visitation and the body is being donated to the Indiana University Anatomical Board, Indianapolis.  He was a member of ST Patrick’s Catholic Church, the International Typographical Union, and was a charter member of the Tribune 25-year Club.

 

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
