Lucolous Strong III

March 10, 1946 – December 28, 1979

Services for Lucolous Strong III, 33, a former South Bend resident, who was shot fatally early Friday in his 17^th floor apartment at 2901 S. Michigan, Chicago, will be at 1pm Thursday in St Paul Bethel Baptist Church.  Rev. Booker West, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to 9pm Wednesday in Clark’s Funeral Chapel.

Strong was born on March 10, 1946, in South Bend, and lived here most of his life, moving to Chicago a year ago.  Surviving are four sisters, Ms. Pecola Strong, Mrs. Vearl Reynolds, and Mrs. Tecola Wardlow, all of Chicago, and Mrs. Eva Mae Reid of South Bend; a brother, Jonathan, who is in military service stationed at For Dix NJ, and his mother, Mrs. Lula M. White of Chicago
