SONIA KAY STROUP
  Word has been received of the death of Miss Sonia Kay Stroup, 16, of
Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of South Bend, who died at 12:05 a.m.
Oct. 21 as the result of injuries received in a one-car accident.
According to the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Department, Miss Stroup
was killed after she lost control of her car, that ran up the shoulder
of a Salt Lake City street and rolled over.  Three passengers in her
car received minor bumps and bruises.  She was born on June 8, 1967,
in Indianapolis, and had lived in South Bend for 11 years before
moving to Salt Lake City five years ago.  She was the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Dale (Marcia Huffman) Stroup of Salt Lake City.
  Services were held Oct. 24 at the Mount Olympus Presbyterian Church,
Salt Lake City, with Rev. David Burnham, her uncle, officiating.
Burial was in Larkin Sunset Cemetery Gardens of the Valley.  The
Holbrook Funeral Home, Salt Lake City, was in charge of arrangements.
