Theodore S. Stroup, Sr.
  Theodore S. Stroup Sr., 72,of 53710 Quince, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Osteopathic Hospital after an extended illness.  He was a retired employee of the Bendix Corp.  Born Feb. 21, 1905, in St. Joseph County, he was a lifetime resident of the area.  On July 8, 1932, in Lakeville, he married Irene M. Maxson, who survives.  Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Emily Ruth Bowen of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Jean Babcock of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Mrs. Doris Wildrick of South Bend and Mrs. Marguerite Gaertner of New Carlisle; two sons, Theodore S. Jr. of South Bend and Wendell L. of New Hall, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, and four brothers, Wilbur of Edwardsburg, Jessie of Weston, Ore., and Russell and Louis, both of South Bend.
  Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 336 N. Main, with Rev. Clyde B. Lehman, pastor of the South Bend City Church of the Brethren officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Heart Association.
