Alice J. Strozewski

May 17, 1916June 30, 1999

 

Alice J. Strozewski, 83, of Jefferson Blvd., Osceola IN, passed away at 1:50am on Wednesday, June 30, in St Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka IN.

 

Mrs. Strozewski was born on May 17, 1916, in South Bend IN, to the late Frank and Josephine Nowak.  On January 26, 1935, in South Bend, she married Clement R. Strozewski, who died on December 17, 1968.  Alice was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard Stroes, who died on May 1, 1996, and Ronald J. Strozewski, who died on September 18, 1997; and by three grandchildren, Kim Strozewski, Michael Strozewski and Denise Miller.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Libera “Lee” (Al) Morgan; 11 grandchildren, Richard Stroes, Anthony Strozewski, Linda Strozewski, Ann Routh, Arthur Strozewski, Robert Miller, Brenda Vargas, Dawn Simala, Tina Roush, Diana Kirk and Lynda Swan; 17 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild; four sisters, Camille (Herb) Martindale of Syracuse IN, Henrietta Janowski of South Bend, Lucille (Lab) Baldoni of Mishawaka and Patricia (Dave) DeMarco of New Carlisle IN; and by a brother, Francis J. (Frances) Nowak of South Bend.

 

Alice was a member of the American Legion Post 357 Ladies Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose #73.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, July 3, in Holy Family Church.  Burial will follow in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger IN. Friends may call from 2 to 8pm today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30pm
