MISHAWAKA - George E. "Sonny" Studebaker
"Oilslinger", 60, of Mishawaka passed away in St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mish. George was born on May 7,
1947, in Mishawaka as the son of George and Eva (Ellwood)
Studebaker. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are
his mother, Eva Studebaker; wife Linda; and son James Thomas all
of Mish.
Sonny lost his sight at the young age of 16,
but that did not stop him from living his life to the fullest. He
worked at Marion Products as a Press Operator for 18 years and
retired in 1986. He belonged to the Northern Indiana Blind Club
and Blind & Sighted workers of St. Joseph Co.
Visitation will be from Noon to 2 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 14 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mish,
where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Mendenhall
will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery,
Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
contributions be made to Linda to offset expenses.
