Madeline H. Studebaker, 84, of 4600 W. Washington St., formerly of Telluride and Montrose, Colo., died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Living Center in South Bend after an extended illness. She was born on Nov. 27, 1921, in Canon City, Colo.

 

She was married to Paul J. Studebaker. He died in 1977, in Colorado. Surviving are a son, William J. Studebaker of Granger; a brother, Charles Silva of Montrose, Colo.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Ackerman.

 

Mrs. Studebaker was a bookkeeper for her husband, who was the owner of Bars Restaurants in California and Colorado. She attended Christ the King Catholic Church in South Bend with her son and daughter-in-law.

 

There will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Telluride, Colo., at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, Ind., was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Trinity Living Center, 4600 W. Washington St., South Bend, IN 46619.
