SOUTH BEND - Diane Sullivan, 68, residing in South Bend, passed away at 6:19 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in her home following an illness. She was born March 16, 1940 in West Hartford, CT, the daughter of Harlow R. & Anne Whalen Norman, and has lived in South Bend since 1968 coming from Indianapolis, IN. On September 10, 1960 in Lexington, MI as Diane Norman, she was united in marriage to James C. Sullivan. She is survived by her loving husband James of 48 years. Also surviving is a daughter Colleen E. (Daniel W.) Swick of Chesterfield, VA, two sons, Daniel P. Sullivan of Speedway, IN, and Timothy R. Sullivan of Manistee, MI. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Ryan T. Sullivan, Kelsey R. Sullivan, and Jami Isom, a great-grandson, Austin Tyler Isom, and a brother, Barry Norman of Torrence, CA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila C. Sullivan on September 29, 1997, and a brother, H. R. "Skip" Norman in November 2008. Mrs. Sullivan worked for 32 years in Home Child Care. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, loved children, and enjoyed water aerobics at Pro Health in South Bend.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, Nov. 29, at Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Food Pantry of Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 North Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN 46637.
