Robert F. Sult Sr.

Aug. 12, 1949 - April 13, 2001

Robert F. Sult Sr., 51, of Elder Road, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 13, in his home. Robert was born in Mishawaka on Aug. 12, 1949, to Robert and Bertha (Freet) Sult. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert S. Sult. He worked for Monaco Coach for 25 years as a punch press operator.

 

On April 16, 1977, in Osceola, Ind., Robert marred Cindy Kush. Cindy survives along with a son, Robert F. Sulk Jr. of Mishawaka; and a daughter, Sarah E. Sult of Mishawaka; his mother, Bertha Sult of Osceola; a sister, Lola Sult of Osceola; two brothers, Kenny (Barb) Sult and Gene Sult, both of Osceola. He is also survived by his beloved pet dog, Maggie.

 

Robert fought a long and very courageous battle with cancer. Nothing was more important than his family. Robert enjoyed coin collecting, gardening and cooking, and discussing passages from the Bible with his daughter, Sarah. His favorite place to vacation was at Foote Lake, Manistique, Mich., in the Upper Peninsula where he enjoyed fishing. Robert also enjoyed an occasional trip to "The Boat" in Michigan City, Ind.

 

Memorial services will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Elkhart General Community Hospital, 2020 Industrial Parkway, Elkhart, IN 46516. Robert's family wishes to extend a special Thank You to Ryan D. Matherly, M.D., and William D. Pletcher, M.D., and to all their nurses for all their support.
