Arloa Ann Sweet

Arloa Ann (Unger) Sweet, 59, White Street, Niles, passed away at Lakeland Memorial Hospital in Niles unexpectedly but of natural causes on Sunday, January 15, 2006.

Arloa was born in Niles on December 6, 1946, to the late Fred and Mary Unger. She married Lester D. Sweet at a ceremony in Niles on May 23, 1981. Arloa was employed by Simplicity Pattern in Niles where she worked in factory stock for over 38 years. She enjoyed cooking, spending time outdoors, reading, crossword puzzles and mostly spending time with her grandchildren.

Arloa was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Fred and Jim Unger; and two sisters, Theresa Romanski and Mary Criffield .

She is survived by her husband, Lester D. "Butch" Sweet of Niles; a son, Michael D. (Katrina) Sweet of Niles; four grandchildren, Patience Newman, Ethan, Sydni and Sara Belle Sweet, all of Niles; six brothers, Frank, Alfred, Lyle, Bill, Dave and Bob Unger; four sisters, Delores Kujawa, Yvonne Garvin, Emma Clane and Hilda Black.

A time of visitation will take place Wednesday, January 18, 2006, in Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51, Niles, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19th, at 11:00 a.m. in Mission Hills Chapel. An interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
