Jeanne E. Sweitzer

Jeanne E. Sweitzer, 87, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, in the Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle, Indiana. Jeanne was born on October 19, 1914, in South Bend to the late Cornelius and Alta (Clawson) Morris. Also preceding her in death were a sister, Joanne Snoke and a brother, Jim Morris.

 

On February 27, 1935, Jeanne married Edward F. Walsh. He preceded her in death in August of 1965. On September 2, 1982, Jeanne married Walter A. Sweitzer. He survives with three daughters, Chris Walsh of Mishawaka, Lori (David) Penzenik of South Bend, and Trudi Payton of Cassopolis, Michigan; two sons, Tom (Sherri) and Tim (Irene) Walsh, both of Granger; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a brother, Bill (Jean) Morris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

 

Jeanne retried after seventeen years as an account executive with the WSBT Television Station in South Bend.

 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 23, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka where friends may visit with Jeanne's family from noon Sunday until services. Interment will follow at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 24 at chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
