Reuben Syson
Reuben Syson, of 934 Vistula avenue,
died saturday at 2:30 o'clock Sunday
morning, aged 82 years.  The cause of
his death was heart disease.  He had
not been feeling well for a day or two,
but nothing serious was apprehended.
He retired at the usual hour and in the
middle of the night the family was
aroused by his labored breathing.  A
physician was summoned, but could
not afford him any relief.  Mr. Syson
was a native of Nottingham, England,
and had been an American citizen for
10 years.  He leaves a widow and six
sons, one of whom resides in Spring-
field, Ill.  He had made many acquaint-
ances in South Bend and was much re-
spected by all who knew him.  At the
request of the family Coroner Varier
will hold an inquest.  The funeral will
take place from the residence at 10 a.
m. Wednesday, and the remains will
be interred in the Bowman Cemetery.
