Mrs. John J. Szabo, Jr.

     Mrs. Gladys Rose Szabo, 65, of 445 S. Pulaski St., died at 10:15 p.m.
Tuesday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an illness of six months. She was a
former employee of the University of Notre Dame and the Associates Corp. of
North America, retiring in 1970. She was born Sept. 14, 1907, in south Bend, and
had lived here all her life. On June 3, 1935, as Gladys Sroda, she was
married to John J. Szabo, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ronald J.
of Schaumburg, Ill., and Dean R. of South Bend; two grandchildren; and a
sister, Mrs. Dorothy Egyhazi of South Bend.
     Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday
in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m.
Saturday at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. rev Eugene  J. Kazmierczak, pastor,
officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.  Mrs. Szabo was a
member of God and country Group 335, Polish National Alliance.
